  • Visit to 2 Contrasting Châteaux
  • French Picnic Lunch in the Château's place
  • 8 tastings & more...
  • Cycle through the Vines on High End Electric Bikes

Meet at our Rustic Vines office in Bordeaux before taking the short 45 minutes drive to the beautiful UNESCO village of St Emilion. Once arrived at our Saint Émilion office we will set you up with your Electric bike and headset for the day before beginning the leisurely cycle through the ancient St Emilion vineyards. While exploring the picturesque landscapes you will be guided to your 1st of 2 Châteaux, where you will learn about the Château’s history and how they make their wine before finishing with a tasting of their merlot based wines. Once the tour of the Château ends, you will enjoy a tasty hand selected picnic of some of the region’s finest produce, accompanied with the Chateau’s wine as you enjoy the stunning property and its vines. Upon finishing your picnic it’s back on the E-bikes to discover the next Château and to learn even more about this remarkable area and the Château. During the cycle your guide will keep you informed about historical tales and more interesting facts about the most famous wine region in the world. After returning to Saint Émilion it’s time to discover the beautiful UNESCO- listed village on foot with your friendly and trusty Rustic Vines guide. To finish the tour off you will enjoy one last, and by no means least, wine tasting at a wine merchant. This is a great opportunity to buy wine as they ship basically anywhere, but there’s no pressure to buy. If you would rather just enjoy the tastings these no harm in that also. At the end of the tour, you’ll be driven back to Bordeaux and dropped off where the day began, at our Rustic Vines office.

This tour was extremely well organised, flexible and huge fun. Fantastic tour guide (Matt) who was extremely knowledgable and great sense of humour. The bikes were absolutely fantastic! Easy to use and made the day relaxing and enjoyable rather than doing the hard slogs!!

A great way to see the area

The ebike tour of the St Emillion and Pomerol was a really enjoyable experience. The bikes were great. I have never used an ebike before, but the guidance and little practice before we left was useful. Once on the road, they were great, easy to use and made for an easy and fun bike ride. We were helped by the lovely weather, but it was a great way to see the countryside. The guides were knowledgeable and helpful and their lunch perfect. The 2 Chateaux we visited were great, friendly and happy to answer questions and explain about the process, terroir and the challenges facing the industry. Of course the tasting was good but also helpful in building knowledge on the different wines and styles. The only hiccup we had was after booking and getting the tickets, we were told that the Sunday was booked up but there were spaces on Monday. Luckily we could go on the Monday. I would happily recommend the trip to anyone. You don’t need to physically fit. It’s a lovely, social and enjoyable experience.
