Vert Bordeaux - Fantastic Knowledgeable and Wonderful Wine Experience
Sebastien Laroche 07/11/2025
Emmanuel, our guide, was very knowledgeable, kind, and flexible. I developed a newfound understanding of French wine categorization and a deeper appreciation of the wine-making process overall. I would highly recommend this tour if this is your first foray into Bordeaux wine.

A very enjoyable and informative experience
Monique Lankamp 05/30/2025
Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned enthusiast, this wine tour offers something for everyone. Emmanuel, our guide, along with the hosts at each vineyard, ensured that we left with a deeper understanding of Bordeaux wines. They struck a nice balance between delivering informative content and keeping the experience light and engaging. One of the highlights was tasting wines from two distinct terroirs — Pomerol and Saint-Émilion — as opposed to just one. This allowed for a fun compare-and-contrast exercise. The tour departs from the Cité du Vin, which also makes it ideal to combine with a visit to the museum either before or after. Since we we’re relatively new to the world of wine, this pairing added some more context to the day and helped us make the most of our experience. Although Vert Bordeaux’s commitment to sustainability wasn’t a decisive factor in our booking, we were impressed to learn about more conscious winemaking. It’s an admirable focus for sure. If there’s one aspect I’d change, it would be the brief stop in Saint-Émilion. While the guided walk and tasting of a local speciality were enjoyable, the 30 minutes of free time felt a bit rushed and didn’t allow for much exploration or a relaxed meal. That said, given the constraints of a half-day itinerary, the limited time is understandable.
