Ophorus

We did a Medoc wine tour on Friday 18th of September. The tour from 9.30am until 5.30pm was one of the highlights of our trip to Bordeaux. It conveniently left from outside tourist bureau and we visited 3 beautiful wineries. The wineries varied from classical chateaux to quirky biodiversity style and presentation. All of the wines we sampled were exceptional and we do enjoy quality reds back home in Australia. The staff who conducted our winery experiences were exceptional with a good balance of knowledge and friendliness. I must not forget our guide Jerome who was brilliant (as was our very comfortable vehicle). His English was excellent and he conducted the tour with a great knowledge of winemaking, the Medoc region and the history of the region and Bordeaux itself. He also had a great sense of humour and told some lovely stories. He is a credit Bordeaux tourism. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone wishing to experience a genuine, excellent value wine tour.

I liked the tour leader! She was great. I thought we would taste more wine, very small pours. A lot of time was spent driving to wine yards when there are many much closer or in Saint-Emilion.

Everything was great. Nice and knowledgeable guide. Recommended.

Lovely tour, not too far from Bordeaux. Chateau was beautiful, wines delicious and village really pretty. Oscar was a great guide making the tour entertaining fun.
