Looking for an authentic Bordeaux wine tour that goes beyond the postcard? Skip the tourist trail and discover two of Bordeaux's most underrated wine regions on an intimate Bordeaux wine experience, limited to just 8 guests.

2:20 PM – Your English-speaking guide meets you in front of La Cité du Vin, introduces the group, and sets the scene for the afternoon.

2:30 PM – Departure. On the road, your guide will walk you through the story of Bordeaux wines — the châteaux, the grape varieties, the terroirs — with a special focus on two appellations most visitors never get to explore: the prestigious Pessac-Léognan and the rolling Entre-Deux-Mers.

  • First stop — Entre-Deux-Mers. Often called the "little Tuscany" of Bordeaux, this hilly, verdant region produces a remarkable variety of wines across equally diverse terroirs — and it remains one of the hidden gems of the Bordeaux wine world. At a charming family-owned château, you'll get a complete behind-the-scenes look at winemaking from harvest to bottling, before sitting down to taste both red and white wines from the estate. This is the kind of stop that defines a non-touristy Bordeaux wine tour — authentic, unhurried, and genuinely off the beaten track.

  • Second stop — Pessac-Léognan. We then head south of Bordeaux to one of the Left Bank's most prestigious appellations, renowned for producing some of the finest red and white wines in the entire region. At a Classified Growth estate from the Graves classification, you'll discover how the wines are crafted, tour the fermentation cellar and barrel aging room, and finish with a tasting of the estate's reds and whites.

By the end of the afternoon, you'll have visited two family-owned châteaux, tasted 6 to 7 very different wines, and explored a side of Bordeaux that most tours never show. The perfect way to understand the true diversity of this extraordinary wine region.

6:30 PM – Return to Bordeaux (± 5 min.).

Great tour. Excellent guide/company. Maybe

My partner and I really enjoyed our half-day Bordeaux experience. We separately did a full-day in St. Emilion and found this experience much more enriching and engaging. One of the real BENEFITS of this experience was exploring two different wine regions (Cote de Bordeaux and Graves), which allowed us to taste a diversity of wines and styles from the region. Our guide, Ludmilla, was really kind and knowledgeable. This company has very good relationships with wineries we visited, which showed in the quality of service. Also, the meeting point was very convenient for grabbing a lunch pre-tasting at Les Halles Bacalan. Would definitely recommend this experience.

Very good guide and I really liked the first stop and wine testing. The second stop was okay.

Excellent afternoon with Vincent!
Savanna Kuisle 07/23/2025
Our group of four (two couples) spent a lovely afternoon with Vincent visiting two wineries: one in Entre-Deux-Mers and one in Pessac. Vincent was incredibly knowledgeable about the region and the wineries we visited. It was quite fun seeing a slightly less touristy area of Bordeaux. If you enjoy white wines, then I would recommend this tour! (Though we also drank some nice reds). Thank you to Vincent for your enjoyable company and fun conversation!

Half-day in the Vineyard Review
Fraser Bryden 08/30/2024
Emmanuel was a fantastic guide for our half-day tour in Bordeaux. He was incredibly knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had whilst putting all guests at ease. We went to 2 vineyards on this tour, a more traditional Chateaux and a modern vineyard. Everything ran very smoothly on the day with Emmanuel meeting us promptly at the agreed upon meeting sight. I would highly recommended to this tour, especially if you're only in Bordeaux for a short period of time as it allows you to get out and see the countryside.
