Looking for an authentic Bordeaux wine tour that goes beyond the postcard? Skip the tourist trail and discover two of Bordeaux's most underrated wine regions on an intimate Bordeaux wine experience, limited to just 8 guests.
2:20 PM – Your English-speaking guide meets you in front of La Cité du Vin, introduces the group, and sets the scene for the afternoon.
2:30 PM – Departure. On the road, your guide will walk you through the story of Bordeaux wines — the châteaux, the grape varieties, the terroirs — with a special focus on two appellations most visitors never get to explore: the prestigious Pessac-Léognan and the rolling Entre-Deux-Mers.
- First stop — Entre-Deux-Mers. Often called the "little Tuscany" of Bordeaux, this hilly, verdant region produces a remarkable variety of wines across equally diverse terroirs — and it remains one of the hidden gems of the Bordeaux wine world. At a charming family-owned château, you'll get a complete behind-the-scenes look at winemaking from harvest to bottling, before sitting down to taste both red and white wines from the estate. This is the kind of stop that defines a non-touristy Bordeaux wine tour — authentic, unhurried, and genuinely off the beaten track.
- Second stop — Pessac-Léognan. We then head south of Bordeaux to one of the Left Bank's most prestigious appellations, renowned for producing some of the finest red and white wines in the entire region. At a Classified Growth estate from the Graves classification, you'll discover how the wines are crafted, tour the fermentation cellar and barrel aging room, and finish with a tasting of the estate's reds and whites.
By the end of the afternoon, you'll have visited two family-owned châteaux, tasted 6 to 7 very different wines, and explored a side of Bordeaux that most tours never show. The perfect way to understand the true diversity of this extraordinary wine region.
6:30 PM – Return to Bordeaux (± 5 min.).
