Daily departures from the Allées de Tourny, just steps from the Tourist Office. In 45 minutes, the electric tourist train takes you from the Gallo-Roman era to the 18th century, through the streets of old Bordeaux, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The audio guide is available in 8 languages: French, English, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. A version made especially for children tells Bordeaux's history through fun anecdotes. Did you know, for instance, that the golden lion perched atop the Grosse Cloche turns to face the river whenever the weather is fine? Legend has it he's thirsty!
The route passes close to the Place de la Bourse and the Miroir d'eau, the Porte Cailhau, the Grosse Cloche, rue Sainte-Catherine, the Place des Quinconces, the Hôtel de Ville and the Porte de Bourgogne.
