Bordeaux walking tour

Tour was insightful and pretty much covered all of the main landmarks of the city. The Tour Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. However, the tour was not very well organised. The audio was not clear enough and the microphone kept dropping out. Moreover, I specifically booked an English speaking Tour, however it was mostly (70-80%) French speaking and the occasional English translation afterwards. The constant translating definitely added alot more time to the walk. I would recommend if you speak French, but there are better alternatives for just English speakers.

I'm very glad that we joined this walking tour. We learned two valuable tips and appreciated the guides willingness to be creative and 'sneak' inside a few doorways to see the interior of two very unique buildings. But overall, we were disappointed. The walking tour only went a short distance - barely enough to scratch the surface. Wish we could have covered more ground. Also the guide had a quiet voice and did not have a microphone. It was impossible to hear unless you stood right in front of her. With a large group, we rotated positions so that more people could have a chance to hear something along the way. In hindsight, I'm glad we joined the walking tour and we truly were pleased with our 2-days in Bordeaux. But would not recommend this unless the guide has a microphone or louder voice.

Our guide was so good, she explained everything in perfect English....thank you! We learnt so much and it also helped us find out way around the city during the week using the landmarks we visited on the tour. You have to do this walking tour when in Bordeaux.

Route of walk and sites covered were both good. We did expect tour in English. Our guide had to talk in both French & English due to uneven numbers ( thought that should have been organised ahead ) But she did an excellent job. Took extra time because of this ( no worries for us)
