Go beyond the village of Saint-Émilion
Saint-Émilion is more than its famous medieval village. Beyond its narrow streets and renowned wine estates lies a vast countryside shaped by vineyards, quiet country roads and traditional wine-growing villages.
Your day begins in Bordeaux with a private transfer to the heart of the wine region. Within minutes, leave the bustle of the city behind and reach a landscape shaped by centuries of winemaking.
Once on your bike, set off for approximately 25 km of gravel riding along a carefully selected route. Quiet country roads, vineyard paths, rolling hills and panoramic views take you through the landscapes of Saint-Émilion, with plenty of time to stop, enjoy the surroundings and share the experience with your guide.
Discover landscapes surrounding prestigious estates such as Château Angélus, Château Pavie, Château Cheval Blanc and Château La Dominique, as well as more hidden properties and family-run estates, away from the usual tourist routes. The route passes through traditional wine-growing villages and hamlets, revealing a more rural, peaceful and authentic side of Saint-Émilion.
Throughout the ride, your local guide shares the history of the region, its heritage and wine culture. The pace is adapted to the group: this is not about performance, but about taking the time to discover.
A picnic in the heart of the vineyards
At lunchtime, enjoy a French-style picnic in a beautiful natural setting, surrounded by vineyards or beneath a tree, depending on the season. Local cheese, charcuterie, fresh bread, seasonal vegetables, canelé and a bottle of wine to share make up this convivial lunch.
For those who want to discover more about the wine region, an optional château visit and wine tasting can be added, subject to availability. This service is paid directly to the estate, from €25 per person.
Take time to discover Saint-Émilion
After the ride, enjoy free time in the village of Saint-Émilion, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through its medieval streets, admire its architecture, explore local shops or simply relax on a terrace before returning to Bordeaux.
