A wonderful day out in the Bordeaux wine region
David Webb 08/17/2026
We had a very full day out in the village of St Emilion and in the Margaux area of the Medoc. We were with a small friendly group of people interested in wine and the local culture and our host, Roberto, was excellent. We drove our van to a wine tasting in St Emilion, saw the historic village, then saw multiple vineyards with wine tastings, and an excellent lunch with wine along the way. It was an excellent opportunity to learn about the history and wine making, to choose wines to buy, and to have a wonderful day out. The various individual hosts in the vineyards were informative and engaging. I would strongly recommend this to anyone who has time for an all-day tour.

Wow, wow, wow!

Chloe was friendly, exceptionally knowledgeable and agile. We had to reorganise due to the fires, which was completely understandable. The group barely noticed as she did this. Great wine, lovely food, fantastic tour.

One of our favorite memories in Bordeaux

We really enjoyed our tour with Rustic Vines and would recommend it to friends visiting the area. The whole day was well paced and we left the tour with a deeper understanding of the winemaking in Bordeaux. Our guide was fantastic—very accommodating to anything we needed and an excellent source of information throughout the day. Considering everything you get to try and do, we felt the tour was fairly priced as well!

A Long Day - but worth it!
Brandi Shepard 07/03/2026
Enjoyed a long but delightful day exploring the Bordeaux wine region with our guide, Daniel. First stop - a wine shop and tasting of five wines. The shop owner asks everyone to rank the top two at the end of the trip and we were shocked we all chose the least expensive! Second Stop - small vineyard right outside Saint Emilion proper. I thought I hated merlot until I tried it here. Wow - amazing We also had lunch at the end of this stop. That's the only thing I think could be improved upon on the tour. Lunch was a charcuterie board shared by each couple that include bread, cheese, meats and veggies. It was large, but knowing we would be drinking all day could have used something a bit heavier like a true sandwich. The two afternoon stops in the Medoc. By this point we had driven (ridden) quite a bit and with the 105* heat it gets a bit hard to remember. But I do know our last shop did a chocolate pairing with the wines that was delightful. Daniel was an excellent guide with SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE. It was a lot of wine and a lot of driving/riding - but worth every penny! An incredible value for everything we drink and saw that day!
