Château Balestard La Tonnelle: A Century of History and Viticultural Excellence
Located in the heart of the Saint-Émilion appellation, Château Balestard La Tonnelle is an iconic property purchased by the Capdemourlin family in 1923. The Capdemourlin family, present in the region since 1647 with Château Cap de Mourlin, has perpetuated the viticultural tradition for several generations. In 2019, the château was renovated to offer visitors a unique and immersive experience, featuring a brand-new bioclimatic winery and a 360° rooftop above Saint-Émilion.
Opening Hours: We welcome you from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM.

Incredible Views, Amaizing Serice, and Great Wine
First of all, the staff was very welcoming and accommodating. They did whatever they could to ensure we were happy and had what we needed. We ever booked 2 experiences by mistake and they caught it and proactively refunded us the redundant one. Secondly, the views on the balcony were incredible - we saw many other chateaus as well as all the way to another AOC. And lastly, the wine was one of our favorites in the region. We loved it. It was a great experience for 2 people, felt very personal.

Excellent private tour and wine tasting !
In september, during our visit and tour at Ch. Ballestard la Tonnelle we witnessed the harvest of the merlot-grapes and had a wonderfull insight in the first stage of vinification and grape-selection. We enjoyed the personal private tour around the Chateau. We enjoyed the beautoful view from the terrasse and the blind tasting of your 3 wines Roudier, Cap de Mourlin and the Ballestard !

We hadden een fijne rondleiding met veel persoonlijke aandacht. Daarna de proeverij in de hiden room was top. Super om te proeven wat een wijn doet als je heb langer bewaard.

Beautiful experience
We loved the tour around the vineyard. Wouldn't change anything. Gorgeous location and amazing wine and handmade chocolates.
