Les Cordeliers

Listed with the landscapes of Saint-Emilion UNESCO heritage, this cloister of the 14th century listed historic monument welcomes every years 700 000 wine tourists. It houses an exceptional architecture mixing modern and tradition.

The church of the 15th century and its 14th century cloister that were renovated in 2019 are waiting for you to discover the secrets of the sparkling wine elaborated since 1892 at 20 meters deep. Underground cellar tours are daily accompanied by a guide where you can discover the traditional method elaborated in these 3km of cellars.

You can then stroll in the exceptional souvenir shop or enjoy the services of the wine bar that offers throughout the day snacking options such as gourmet picnic baskets and hot formulas for lunch in the gardens of the cloister.

Very disappointing

The girl taking our tour was friendly but didn't seem confident with her knowledge. She didn't have much to share with us, and seemed confused about how to do things (to even collecting all our glasses, mixing them up and thinking we would drink from another person's used glass). Our guide aside, some information and 3 of the smallest tasters I had in the whole region I felt it was vastly overpriced for what we experienced

Very nice and interesting tuktuk tour

I highly recommend this tour. It takes you around Saint Émilion where you see the highlights of the area and then down to the underground cellars of Les Cordeliers. Our guide, Océane, was excellent.

We almost missed doing this!

We were very surprised by this tour. The tour itself was very much like the other tours we took while in town. However, we were unprepared for how big and nice the facility actually was. The shop was fun but the space was so interesting, the outdoor bar and garden was fantastic! We bought a bottle and spent a long afternoon in the garden after our tour. It was uncrowded and beautiful.

The cellars for one time visit is pretty good, but the car trip over St. Emilion and guide storytelling wish to be better. Nothing special in cremant taste.
