Chateau Siran

Château Siran is the oldest family-owned estate in the Margaux appellation, belonging to the same family for over 150 years. The château became the property of the Miailhe family in the 19th century when the estate was purchased from the Count and Countess of Toulouse-Lautrec, the grandparents of the famous painter!

We welcome you to the estate to discover our philosophy and our wines. You will be able to understand the precise work required to produce the elegant wines of Château Siran. Enter our old wooden vat room, then visit our "Chai des Collections," which features a unique collection of more than 300 wine-related objects. The tour continues to other exceptional places: the barrel cellar, the atomic bomb shelter (try our escape game!), and the panoramic terrace, where you can have lunch. The visit ends with a guided tasting of our wines, which can be accompanied by a cheese platter.

C'était une visite très intéressante, et la dame sympathique a tout bien expliqué et a répondu à mes questions. La visite était également assez longue et s'est terminée par une excellente dégustation.

Our visit was very friendly, relaxed and enjoyable. Our guide was new to the chateau but was still very well-prepared and knowledgeable. Heartily recommend this property for a visit, and some excellent wine

A very short tour, small tasting - but also a very fair price.
Thomas Grønlund 07/12/2025
Beautiful place, very friendly guide, short introduction to the vinification and the cellars. Two small tasting glasses. And that was it. 12 euros well spent

It was OK

I’d recommend but with low expectations. It was the third of day and the least impressive. Saying that, for the value, I would mildly recommend. It would help if the intern who gave the tour spoke English a bit better.
