Excellent overview of a complex history and industry
Excellent tour, especially for first- time visitors to the Bordeaux region. We visited both Saint-Emilion (on a separate full-day tour) and Medoc, and I highly recommend seeing both as they are very different. Our tour guide for Medoc was fantastic- very well informed, lively and fun to be with. We visited two very different vineyards, which contrasted the types of vineyards and their approaches to wine. One was a very large, elegant Chateau with long history; the second vineyard was a smaller and more intimate family vineyard. Both were excellent of their kinds and we were greeted with warmth and welcome.
Ophorus does an excellent job of selecting guides who are pleasant and knowledgeable, and vineyards that create a "picture" of the region. The pacing of our tours with them was perfect, and the vans very comfortable and modern. Highly recommend.

Excellent overview of Saint-Emilion
As this was our first visit to the Bordeaux region, we decided to find a tour group that would give us a good overview of the area and vineyards. Our first day we toured Saint-Emilion with our tour guide, Oscar, who was very well-informed and an excellent guide. The three vineyards we visited were very different from each other, giving us an idea of the diversity of the region's offerings. Lunch and a tour of the village of Saint-Emilion was wonderful as well. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Bordeaux.

Very nice tour of the Medoc Region. We toured and tasted at three wineries and stopped for pictures in front of others. Rodolf our guide was informative and fun. He gave us hood restaurant recommendations for lunch. Overall an excellent tour.

A fantastic day sipping Saint-Émilion wines with a Oscaz, a fabulous guide from Italy (no irony there!). He was knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. Highly recommended!
