Underwhelming

A group of us went on this river cruise in July. It was an exceptionally hot day which probably impacted our overall experience. The boat was circa. 15 minutes late to depart due to the late arrival of some other guests. During that time the majority of guests were sat outside in the stifling heat. When we eventually set sail it was announced by the host that he was doubling up as both tour guide and barman. We were already desperate for a cold drink at this point. After about 30 minutes we had to stop the tour guide to ask him to open the bar as it was so uncomfortably hot. He should have read the room - everyone was suffering. He seemed inconvenienced by this request even though nearly every guest immediately joined a queue for the bar. It felt like the boat was understaffed as there should have been someone manning the bar at all times. Instead, we had to sacrifice the tour commentary in order for the host to serve much-needed cold drinks. I'm not sure I would recommend this boat trip.

We really enjoyed our time on the cruise. Obviously you can only see sights from the river but our guide was really good and so enthusiastic. He was just great. Very easy to book online but I believe also free of you have a City pass. Thank you
