The description of this tour sounded interesting - something fun and different. The experience was mediocre, at best. The tuktuk is open air and the driver was also the tour guide. She, naturally, had to face forward while driving. She was soft spoken and it was very difficult to hear and understand her when she spoke, especially when she tried to narrate the tour while driving. We did get to see some new (to us) parts of Saint-Emilion and learn a tiny bit about their Cremant sparkling wine production, but it was definitely not the best use of 90 minutes and thirty Euros per person.

Although we enjoyed the experience we did leave feeling a little disappointed. The tour was definitely aimed towards French speaking guests and as a non French speaker we definitely missed out on the experience. It might be an idea to have a pre-recorded version of the tour in alternative languages to enable everyone to get the same experience. Our host did try to communicate in English but this was very limited although her efforts were very much appreciated.

Fun Experience

This tour was such a pleasant surprise. We expected a tram ride through wine storage caves, but it was so much more! We drove in and thru the vineyards learning about the soils, growing conditions, etc before touring the caves. Champagne tasting was a classic way to end the tour. We felt we did more than expected and so glad we took the tour!
