Explore Bourg and Blaye vineyard, departing from Bordeaux. This half-day excursion takes you to the banks of the Gironde estuary, to discover an authentic and unspoiled vineyard, between historical heritage and wines accessible to all. A refreshing escape to explore a lesser-known side of the Bordeaux vineyard.

Nestled on the banks of the Gironde estuary, the vineyards of Bourg and Blaye offer a remarkable natural and historical setting. Blaye, with its famous Vauban Citadel listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, majestically overlooks the river and bears witness to a rich military and wine-growing past. Further south, Bourg and its picturesque streets overlook the estuary, surrounded by vines stretching down to the water's edge. An authentic territory, still untouched by mass tourism, that will delight lovers of nature and heritage.Accompanied by a bilingual tour guide, you will visit two châteaux in the Bourg and Blaye vineyard, carefully selected for the quality of their wines and the warm welcome of their winemakers. You will discover the vines, the cellars and the different stages of wine production in this unique terroir. Each visit ends with a tasting in the château: a fresh and lively white wine, perfect for a light and easy tasting, followed by a warm and indulgent red wine, easy to enjoy. All in a convivial and relaxed atmosphere.A wonderful escape to discover an authentic and lesser-known side of the Bordeaux vineyard.

Departure from the Bordeaux Tourist Office at 1:30 PM, return at 6:30 PM. Each participant must present an e-ticket, either downloaded or printed, to board the bus.

I liked the fortress. It’s good to combine a sight with a vineyard. It was interesting to learn about a vineyard which follows strict guidelines around extra- bio wines. Yes I’d recommend this tour.
