Enjoyable day
Jeff Cheetham 07/01/2026
My Wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our day to Saint Emilion on Friday after it was cancelled on Wednesday because of the extreme heat. The winery provided excellent information about the process of making Grand Cru. The only slight thing was that we were rushed at the end as my wife and I were the last to receive our second tasting and probably asked too many questions. I was amazed at the Monolithic Church I won’t say anymore on that subject as I don’t wish to spoil it for others. Overall very happy.

Bordeaux Walking Tour - Fantastique!
Douglas GORDON 06/29/2026
Greatly enjoyed our walking tour on 22 June 2026, despite the record-setting heat! Our guide was a Bordeaux native, a history/architecture PhD, and a very charming and informative guy who was able to handle the tour easily in English and French. Gave us a great, brief view of some key Bordeaux locations and history - well worth the modest price for a two-hour tour.

One language only, please
Laura Machanic 06/24/2026
Our bilingual guide delivered the information first in French to the French-speaking half of the group (more than half perhaps), then in English to us English-speakers. My husband and I understand enough French that we heard he was shortening his English version quite a bit, especially as the tour went on, which was frustrating for us. We could see him offering the info in French with enthusiasm and detail, then turning to us with a “I just was saying how X or Y.:.” One sentence to summarize for us after many sentences in French. I think he was tired by the second half of the 2-hour tour and it was a large group and that’s a lot of info to deliver in 2 languages. I get it. But it made us feel dismissed. I’d recommend offering a full English language tour as advertised though I realize the finances of it are better when combining 2 groups.

Do it for the View. Stay for the Museum!
Jeff R 06/22/2026
The Porte Cailhua experience was lovely. The view is incredible and multiple floors of interactive exhibits, artifacts, stories, etc. definitely made Porte Cailhau a worthwhile experience. I have always wanted to go up into one of the gates in Bordeaux. And this experience certainly did not disappoint!
