Enjoyable day
A larger group than anticipated. Bi-lingual presentation. Had the impression more information provided in French than English. Only minor issues. On the positive side, the free time to explore the village and have a relaxing lunch was very good. Also the underground church was amazing. Would recommend this activity.

Informative and enjoyable tour
This was a very pleasant and informative visit to the Sauternes region giving some insight into the area and winemaking there .The Guides on the bus and in the two Chateaux visited were knowledgeable and skilled at communication. Both properties visited had interesting histories and the wines tasted were of good quality. The only gripe I would have is that it was quite a lengthy tour it should have come with a health warning to bring food as there was none on offer at either stop.

Booked English Tour. Got 80% French, 20% English instead.
Tour was insightful and pretty much covered all of the main landmarks of the city. The Tour Guide was friendly and very knowledgeable. However, the tour was not very well organised. The audio was not clear enough and the microphone kept dropping out. Moreover, I specifically booked an English speaking Tour, however it was mostly (70-80%) French speaking and the occasional English translation afterwards. The constant translating definitely added alot more time to the walk. I would recommend if you speak French, but there are better alternatives for just English speakers.

A fabulous day! Great value for money.
This was one of the best day tours I have ever been on. Our guide, Sandrine, was fantastic; so friendly and knowledgeable, and she seamlessly alternated between French and English commentary.
We were lucky enough to see the final day of harvest at Chateau Balestard la Tournelle, and our host was delightful (so we're the wines we tasted!)
The underground cathedral is quite literally awesome - an enormous space carved out of solid rock... it is an absolute must-see!
I felt we had enough time to ourselves to explore and enjoy beautiful Saint-Émilion.
And I must give praise to our driver Fred, who showed amazing manoeuvring skills negotiating narrow lanes to reverse-park the bus at our second Chateau stop. Bravo Fred!
This tour is incredible value for money and I definitely recommend it.
