A well organised tour
We enjoyed the tour which was easy to book and a good price. Our guide Astrid was friendly, helpful and spoke good English. We had a good driver and appreciated the free time to explore St Emilion- a pretty village. We had difficulty understanding the first winery guide who spoke very rapidly ! I would have appreciated the offer of some water( and a snack?) with the tastings of red wine throughout the tour.

Plenty of information in a funny and enthusiastic way!
I highly recommend!

Brigitte was an excellent guide
We loved the guidance from Brigitte who was very knowledgeable and funny. The trip was well organized. Since we tasted quite rich red wines I would suggest pairing them with cheese to make the tasting more enjoyable.

Learn more about architecture
This tour was informativ about the architecture and the former history.
With this tour guide - a very inspiring lady - we heard a lot about the typical characteristics of the ancient palais.

Fun tour for first time visitors but not so much on wine
The guide was enthusiastic. Coach ride was comfortable and driver friendly. Easy to book and meet up directions were clear. The first part of the visit was to St Emilion but the village was way too crowded. The wine tour only took up the last 1.5 hours of the trip - I wish there was more of it. The vineyard was beautiful and we had a great tour around different areas. Even though I understand this was meant to be a bilingual tour, it doesn't make sense if the majority are English speaking tourists. The guide in the vineyard spoke more French than English. It will be better to provide an option for English only tours. All in all it is not really a wine tour. I would not recommend for wine enthusiasts.
Answer from Monsieur l'Office de Tourisme et des Congrès de Bordeaux Métropole
Dear Madame, Thank you for your feed back concerning this tour. Indeed the day you went on this tour was part of a busy long weekend. Although it is the most popular destination, St Emilion is only a small medieval village and not at all adapted to receive visitors all over the world. I hope you spended a nice time in the underground monolithic church and that also during your free time you managed to get away from the crowd. Concerning the language, we insist of proposing winetours in two languages in order to satisfy also french spoken tourists. Around 80 % of all winetours, organised by other companies and for sell on our websites are only guided in English. It would have been indeed a better choice for you. Sorry for this. Yours Faithfully, The Bordeaux tourist office.
