Nice train ride with kids
Very warm welcome from the train driver. Beautiful landscape and views.
Interesting audio but explanations about each chateaux quite basic ans superficial.
Most of the route can easily be done by car

Lovely trip to break up the day
Definitely recommend as it is only €10. There are 4 head sets per row and the row does not have singular seat settings, it is a single bench. 2/3 adults can sit comfortably. I would not enjoy if there were 4 people. I am 5"9 and was comfortable sitting slightly sideways. If you have very long legs, the seats may be uncomfortable if there is more than 2 in tour row. The train was a little bumpy - but not ridiculously uncomfortable. I would be saying it was uncomfortable if the train was full and there was 4 to a row.
The trip shows the highlights of Bordeaux, so you can see where you would like to return to visit whilst walking. It's really good in wet weather as it's covered - but if the weather is dry and beautiful, the train's cover obstructs your view for photographs.
You only stop for traffic. This is not a jump on/off journey. I suggest little videos rather than pictures and then re-visiting areas. The information on the head set is a little lack-lustre - sometimes you don't pay attention to the information whilst seeing the sights or doesn't fit what you are looking at because of traffic. If you have children, don't worry about them listening to the information! The trip alone is lovely just for their views and train trip! It's also easy to book online - but if you get charged on your card go to the desk and purchase them there. Hope you enjoy Bordeaux, we did

Quick overview of Bordeaux sights for the time poor
My husband and I took the electric train tour of Bordeaux for 2 reasons:
1. We were short of time to walk all around Bordeaux to visit its highlights.
2. It was very hot and would have been exceedingly uncomfortable to walk around in the heat.
Overall, I would recommend this tour if you have mobility issues, or if you have very little time to walk around yourself. The audio tour is available in many languages and the driver stops at all highlights. It is a good introduction to the city and you can then go back to see what you like in further detail.

Nice to get a quick overview of the city. Sometimes the ride was a bit shaky.
