8:55 am (or 1:55 pm): meet in front of the Cité du Vin (Wine Museum). Your guide will welcome you and explain the day's programme.

9 am (or 2 pm): departure.

We'll start the tour at a family-run, organic wine estate. You'll visit the vat room and barrel cellar and learn how Saint-Emilion wines are made. The visit will conclude with a tasting of wines from the winery (minimum of 3 wines, mainly reds).

We continue with a guided tour of the village of Saint-Emilion. Your guide will introduce you to Saint-Emilion and lead you through its narrow streets, squares and main monuments. It's medieval history at its best in one of France's most beautiful villages! You'll also have the chance to sample the delicious Saint-Emilion macarons and take plenty of photos from breathtaking panoramic viewpoints.

Around 12:45 pm (or 5:45 pm) we'll be back on the road, heading back to Bordeaux.

1:30 pm (or 6:30 pm): return to Bordeaux (+/- 15 min.).

Depending on local requirements, the programme may be modified.

Great experience with a green mission!

We did a half day tour to Château Coutet and Saint Émilion. Emmanuel is incredible and very knowledgable about the region, the wines, and much more. Emmanuel speaks English which was great for my non-francophone partner. I love the mission of Vert Bordeaux! We toured an organic vineyard and the company is very green-forward. Emmanuel also gave us awesome recommendations for some Bordeaux Canelés and dinner. We would definitely do a tour again with Vert Bordeaux next time we’re in Bordeaux.

Highly recommended tour! Excellent half day tour of Saint Emilion that included a visit to a winery where we learned so much from the owner who explained how their vineyards were harvested, how the climate impacts the production & the different grape varieties including the fermentation process - this experience was the highlight of our weekend stay in Bordeaux. Everyone on the tour loved the wine tasting & experiencing the taste of the different grape varieties. The tour guide was very professional, informative & we would highly recommend this trip!

Perfect Half Day Trip to St. Emilion

My partner and I booked the half-day tour with Emmanuel, and it was well worth the cost and time. Emmanuel was an excellent and knowledgable guide. It was the perfect way to explore outside of Bordeaux, with great wine and history. I would recommend everyone to book this tour - far better than a huge bus full of people!

Emanuelle é espetacular, muito simpático e muito conhecedor do que fala. A visita ao Chateau Coutet foi de uma naturalidade muito boa, um bocado desenhada pela vibe de todos os elementos que a compõem (staff, estrutura, etc). A visita inclui uma ótima prova (especialmente com uma colheita de 2011 e de 2020, e mais uma especialidade do chateau que não iremos desvendar). A visita à cidade de St Emilion foi boa, conseguindo-se no espaço de uma hora e meia ver tudo o que a cidade, que vem sendo abandonada, tem para oferecer. Os macarons foram um must e no complemento de tudo, é fácil resumir a uma excelente e tranquila visita. Adoramos e recomendamos muito!
