Saint-Emilion, a world heritage site with lunch
Debra Linkert 07/14/2019
This was a wonderful tour...the wineries we visited were beautiful with well kept grounds. Explanations about making wine were very interesting. Loved the taste testing. Lunch was delicious and there was lots to eat. Of Course the wine was wonderful too. The heritage site of Saint-Emilion was well worth the money...The village is so quaint. Our Guide was very informative and spoke English very well. Trip well worth the money. Thanks.

Really good experience

It was a really nice day, well organised and thought out. It is quite an intense day, with a lot packed in! The wines were excellent and the vineyard staff friendly and knowledgeable without being condescending.

Day out in the Medoc
Kenneth Millsteed 07/12/2019
We visited 3 wineries in the Medoc region on our 'Best Of' tour. The wineries featured beautiful gardens, diverse architecture and of course great wine. The representatives who managed our visit at each of the wineries were very professional and welcoming. The presentations on the history and operation of the wineries was very interesting and surprisingly diverse with insights to the various issues and challenges in managing the business. Our tour guide and the driver were intent on providing a memorable day and were very much appreciated by the participants. The only issue was a general issue in touring in France, that is a lack of catering for vegetarians. A lunch was included and was fine for non vegetarians, but a vegetarian salad was a challenge. Please ask at booking if there are dietary needs. Very much enjoyed the day and recommend this tour.

DO NOT BOOK THIS TOUR
Patrick Magill 07/10/2019
This company does not work well with others. They are extremely unhelpful and their customer service is terrible. They have a horrible refund/exchange policy.

Bordeaux Walking Tour
Suneethap 03/10/2019
We booked a Bordeaux walking tour with Bordeaux Tourist board a 2 hour English / French. This does not cover very much, I am sure there are more historically and culturally important and interesting places in Bordeaux. We were shown two churches, the National Theatre , two monuments and few streets. Even with the rain and bad weather slowing us we finished in 1 and half hours. The guide Rachel who said she was from Brazil was very nice but I don't think she was very knowledgeable. I have been on walking tours in other European and non European cities which had been very interesting. I was quite disappointed here. Also if you are booking a guided tour like this make sure you book a tour which is done in one language, otherwise you tend to miss the beginnings at the change overs specially with the local accentst

Answer from Visiter Bordeaux

Hello,We thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that the tour wasn't that you were expected. With a group of 25 people, it is difficult to cover all the historical points of the city. That is why the guide choose to show you these strategic monuments. We will transfer your comment to the Guided Tour service in order to improve this walking tour.We thank you for your interest in our city and hope to see you again soon. Kind regards,Jeremy, information assitant

Separate English and French tours needed
Anonymous 02/23/2019
Our guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, but if I'd realised that half the tour would be in French I wouldn't have booked. As a previous reviewer pointed out, there really needs to be separate tours - one in English and another in French.

Answer from Visiter Bordeaux

Dear Madam, dear Sir,We are really sorry to hear about your comment but anyway, we thank you for your feedback.Separate English and French guided tours are not available at this period of the year. We are aware that guided tours in a single language are more adequate for the public and we offer this king of tour from April 1st to September 30th. In the hope that we will have the chance to make your experience a better one in the future, Jean-Eric, your information assistant.
