Fun Afternoon with Laura
I highly recommend this tour for newbies to the Bordeaux wine region! Laura was the best guide we could have asked for: energetic, knowledgeable, and passionate. Thanks for a fun afternoon in St. Emilion, Laura!

Must do activity!
My husband and I simply loved our tour with Guillaume in his classic Citroen convertible. We did the city and vineyards combo which was perfect. First we were able to see all the major sites around Bordeaux, feeling like we were like movie stars as people watched and photographed us as we drove by (okay maybe they were photographing the car rather than us) and then drove to a couple of vineyards and had a wine tasting and were even lucky enough to meet a couple of the family members who own the vineyard. Guillaume was a great guide. Just the right balance between sharing information and allowing you time to yourself. We would recommend the experience without hesitation.

Fun tour for first time visitors but not so much on wine
The guide was enthusiastic. Coach ride was comfortable and driver friendly. Easy to book and meet up directions were clear. The first part of the visit was to St Emilion but the village was way too crowded. The wine tour only took up the last 1.5 hours of the trip - I wish there was more of it. The vineyard was beautiful and we had a great tour around different areas. Even though I understand this was meant to be a bilingual tour, it doesn't make sense if the majority are English speaking tourists. The guide in the vineyard spoke more French than English. It will be better to provide an option for English only tours. All in all it is not really a wine tour. I would not recommend for wine enthusiasts.
Answer from Monsieur l'Office de Tourisme et des Congrès de Bordeaux Métropole
Dear Madame, Thank you for your feed back concerning this tour. Indeed the day you went on this tour was part of a busy long weekend. Although it is the most popular destination, St Emilion is only a small medieval village and not at all adapted to receive visitors all over the world. I hope you spended a nice time in the underground monolithic church and that also during your free time you managed to get away from the crowd. Concerning the language, we insist of proposing winetours in two languages in order to satisfy also french spoken tourists. Around 80 % of all winetours, organised by other companies and for sell on our websites are only guided in English. It would have been indeed a better choice for you. Sorry for this. Yours Faithfully, The Bordeaux tourist office.
