Chateaux & Terroirs, on the Bordeaux wine road

42 € / adult

Do you have only a few hours to discover the Bordeaux wine country? Then this "flying visit" is just for you! Are you interested in seeing mythical châteaux in the Médoc? Famous estates in Saint-Emilion? The "golden" wines of Sauternes? Yes, but there is so much more! Bordeaux also has plenty of lesser-known appellations, small family estates, affordable wines, etc.

  • Tour conducted by official guides with professional card, in French and in English
  • A good overview for a first visit
  • Familal properties with the owner (if possible)
  • Wine tasting at each chateau (quantity according to the French law)
  • Saint-Emilion : visit of one winery and visit of the amazing underground church
  • Short free time in the village
  • Large group, depending on the season
  • Transportation by coach from Bordeaux

With this tour you will discover this diversity during an afternoon session every day in the tourist season. The destination is different every day* and each one has its own special charms!

You will be welcomed by the château owner in Blaye Côtes de Bordeaux & Côtes de Bourg, taste wines of all different colours in the Entre-Deux-Mers and delight in striding along the steep narrow streets of the medieval town of Saint-Emilion. Furthermore, you cannot fail to be impressed by a cellar with 1,000 barrels in the Médoc!

The tour includes a visit to two wine estates where you will learn about the winemaking process by discovering the vat room, the cellars with all the barrels, etc.. Each chateau offers a tasting of two wines. Your guide will remind you at this point that you first of all taste wine with your eyes and nose!

The tour to Saint-Emilion includes one wine estate's visit and the underground church in the village.

 Departure at 1:30pm / return at 6:30pm

I liked the choice of chateau we visited, the guide was nice, gave a lot of interesting information and even a short tasting course. Definitely would recommend to those looking to get the first taste of what Medoc region has to offer.

Locations chosen in the Medoc area were great. The two chateaux's were very unique and different one from the other. Guide was good and knowledgeable, but driver seem to be inexperience with the roads. Would recommend the trip.

Due to a mistake of the company i wasn't able to do the tour and ir was ver discusting, they didn't offered me any solución even when i told them that i didn't want my money back, i only wanted to have the tour a different day because they booked my tour when i haven't arrived yet in Bordeaux. I wouldn't recommend ir to anyone. Also they took my 84 euros and didn't help me of find any solución. A completely shit.

Not your run of the mill winery tour
John 10/18/2019
Our guide took us to see two very different wineries near Bordeaux. The first was special: all natural and organic. It was a small family owned chateau. The owner explained its process for making wine, including how they grow the grapes. We also got to see the development over time of the equipment used in wine making at the chateau. The second winery was much larger and more modern, processing the crop from many different growers in the area. Our guide was knowledgable and spoke well. The bus was modern and clean. The tour was well organized. I would recommend the tour to friends.

Great experience

Direct contact With producers. You can get as much details as requested. No clear program description on website, but final outcome is outstanding. Groups can reach 50 people (full bus), which is too much - should be divided into 2 guides.

Wonderful Saint-Émilion
Tor 10/13/2019
The whole trip to Saint-Émilion was wonderful. We had a chance to walk through the narrow city streets and see the monolithic church, which was very nice. The second part was at a vineyard where we had the chance to learn about the wine making process as well as taste a few wines. The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable throughout the whole trip and provided interesting insights about the areas we where passing through.
