8.50 am or 1:50 pm: meeting in front of the Bordeaux tourist office. Your guide will welcome you and present the day's programme.
9:00 am or 2:00 pm: departure.
We will start with a visit to a wine estate in the Entre-deux-Mers region, where the vines are grown organically or biodynamically. The winemaker will explain the environmental approach, the land and will show you around the cellars, before a wine tasting.
We will then go to the Abbey of La Sauve-Majeure. Classified as a Unesco World Heritage Site as part of the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela, this site is a magnificent testimony to monastic life in the Middle Ages, bathed in a mystical atmosphere! You can also admire the breathtaking view from the top of the abbey's bell tower. Self-guided tour (explanations in several languages on site)
1:30 pm or 6:30 pm: return to Bordeaux (+/- 15 min.).
Depending on local requirements, the programme may be modified.
----------
Vert Bordeaux is a tourist agency commited to local and sustainable tourism. Vert Bordeaux integrates the principles of sustainable tourism into its strategic management and the offers it makes.
This translates into internal commitments (ethical banking, eco-designed website, second-hand equipment, printing on recycled paper with vegetable-based inks) and in the design of tours and day trips (local food restaurant, organic winery, no single-use plastic, awareness of local environmental issues) in order to reduce the impact of tourism in Bordeaux and Gironde.
