8:50 AM*: Meet your guide in front of the Bordeaux Office de Tourisme at 12 cours du XXX Juillet.
Departure to Saint-Emilion. On the way, your local guide will explain more about Bordeaux’s diverse vineyards and discover the beauty of Bordeaux’s countryside views.

09:50 AM: Arrival at Saint-Emilion! This visit includes a small guided stroll along the quaint cobbled streets of the village.

11:00 AM: Tour of a Grand Cru or Grand Cru Classé winery, exploring the intricate states of winemaking from grapevine to bottle, finishing with a tasting of 4 wines with the vineyard’s host.

1:00 PM: Back to Bordeaux in front of the Office de Tourisme.

Great introduction to wine and the region .. but you might want a full day trip to get the most out of the tour

If you get the guide Maria, she will be your best friend by the end of the tour! Her wine and local knowledge was excellent and she gave some good tips on where to continue the wine enjoyment back in Bordeaux. A small group tour worked well. Whilst a half day trip worked for us during our short city break to Bordeaux, there is a lot to enjoy in picturesque St Emillion , and a half day morning trip only allowed a short amount of free time to explore at the end of the tour, so consider a full day trip (or making your own way back to Bordeaux via bus/train) if you want to explore longer

Bordeaux Wine Trails were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. We had a group of 8 staying in the suburbs and wanted to make some changes to the standard itinerary which was handled really efficiently by the office so knew we were with the right company! The morning of our tour our guide Marie turned up on schedule and despite us being a little late was fantastic and made the tour really enjoyable our only regret was not doing the full day so bravo Marie!!
