Every Saturday this tour offers the great opportunity to visit 3 different Bordeaux wine appellations among Medoc, Sauternes, Bordeaux-Entre-Deux-Mers, Fronsac, Blaye or Saint-Emilion. The itinerary varies every week but always includes three visits (with tour and tasting) and a lunch at the second estate! This is an ideal opportunity to see beautiful family-owned estates, meet their enthusiastic owners and sample different wines!

09:15am: departure by coach from the Bordeaux Tourist Office.

10:15am: visit and tasting at a wine estate. You will discover the steps of the wine making process and see the cellars with the barrels and the vats. At the end you will be offered the tasting of the property's wine. Depending on the kind of winery you may get the chance to meet the owner.

11:45am: at the second stop the wine estate will welcome you for a visit of its cellar and organise the lunch which can be a buffet warm or cold or a sitting traditional French lunch.

03:30pm: the last visit takes you to another kind of wine chateau, a familial one or a cru classé; this visit will show how different are the numerous wine chateaux around Bordeaux.

Lovely tour guide but lots of standing around
Jessica Ellis 08/15/2019
The tour leader Bridget was very lovely, but the tour is multi lingual and large. If we had known it was such a large group and we would need to wait around for English translations, we would have picked another tour. We spent a lot of time standing around buildings waiting for translations and a very short amount of time for free time in the village or testing wines. There are really no places to try wines in Saint Emilion. The first chateau was lovely, the second we waited around for far too long and we became bored. Slow moving tour.

Great tour!

Beautiful region
Alina 08/13/2019
Great trip, we visited the Médoc region. The guide did not speak great english and it was a bit difficult to understand her at times. She also did not inform us well enough about the schedule and other practical stuff throughout the tour. However, would still recommend as the region is really beautiful and especially the second vineyard visit was really great.
Excellent introduction to wine making in some of Margaux's finest estates
David Cairnduff 08/04/2019
Highly recommend this day trip which visits some of the finer chateaux in the Margaux appellation. Our hosts at the four chateaux visited provided an excellent introduction to wine making - covering topics like grape varieties, soil, vineyard management, picking, vinification, blending , bottling and tasting. It was excellent and well-managed throughout. In the middle was a very nice lunch and throughout the day you had the opportunity to taste the fruits of the chateaux's labours.
A Long Road to Wine
VALERIE ROHDE 08/04/2019
Too much driving with few landmarks into the country. Only two small wineries, one a family home, mother and son, good wine, the second a long walk up a hill, nice views, fair wine good prices. Overall, not good value I am sorry to say.
Bordeaux bus tour
The coverage of the tour is good, however it would be better if it included briefly the new section of the city. The guide was considerate and professional. The tour did not start on time. The bus was about 10 minutes late. Yes, I may recommend the tour to my friends.

Day out in the Medoc
Kenneth Millsteed 07/12/2019
We visited 3 wineries in the Medoc region on our 'Best Of' tour. The wineries featured beautiful gardens, diverse architecture and of course great wine. The representatives who managed our visit at each of the wineries were very professional and welcoming. The presentations on the history and operation of the wineries was very interesting and surprisingly diverse with insights to the various issues and challenges in managing the business. Our tour guide and the driver were intent on providing a memorable day and were very much appreciated by the participants. The only issue was a general issue in touring in France, that is a lack of catering for vegetarians. A lunch was included and was fine for non vegetarians, but a vegetarian salad was a challenge. Please ask at booking if there are dietary needs. Very much enjoyed the day and recommend this tour.
Great tour!

Great tour, highly recommended. Excellent tour guide. Be warned though- I told them in advance I was vegetarian, and they tried to serve me fish for please be explicit with any dietary requirements (it appears that being vegetarian in France has a different meaning to elsewhere!)
The best thing you can do in Bordeaux!!

Wonderful day spent touring the St Emilion area of Bordeaux with Christine as our guide. Christine did an excellent job informing us about the area and the Chateaus -alternating between English and French. Our driver too did an excellent job transporting us to each destination. The three wineries they choose for us were terrific and we had an extr bonus of spending some time in the town of St Emilion. Highly recommend this tour and give it 5 stars. The only negative is the organization with the boarding process - it was chaotic and the Tourism office did not open until everyone had arrived. We all had to stand outside unsure of what to do.
